Make your job or hobby a “walk in the park” – become a Nordic Walking instructor.
People learn Nordic Walking for a variety of reasons. Whether it is because they want stay healthy, get fit, reduce their weight, become more mobile or simply enjoy the great outdoors, learning the correct technique has a significant impact on the benefits and enjoyment people get from Nordic Walking.
Being a Nordic Walking Instructor, helping people achieve their goals and get more enjoyment from their walk can be extremely rewarding.
The International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA) is the Global Governing Body for Nordic Walking. INWA sets the standards for how Nordic Walking is taught and practiced, and develops the education material used for Nordic Walking Instructor training around the World.
As the local arm of INWA, Nordic Walking Australia provides the only INWA accredited training course for Nordic Walking Instructors, taught in accordance with the standards
We run regular courses around Australia. Our INWA Accredited Instructor Courses are run as one self paced theory module through our Learning Management System, followed by a one day practical session. The cost is $595 per person and includes:
- Access to he new updated INWA 10 Step Instructor course material on our Learning Management System
- The 1 day practical session – see below for location details
- A 50% discount on a pair of Gabel Nordic Walking poles if you do not already have your own poles
- The first 3 months membership of Nordic Walking Australia free
You will need to book and pay a minimum of 2 weeks out from the course date to enable us to set you in our Learning Management System and give you enough time to complete the online modules before the practical course

Saturday 15th November, 2025 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
BRISBANE – Mt Coot-Tha Park
Saturday 25th October, 2025 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
Saturday 17th January, 2026 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
MELBOURNE – Fawkner Park, South Yarra
Saturday 20th September, 2025 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
Saturday 13th December, 2025 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
